Poshmark's fee is a step, not a slope, and the step is at $15. Below it you pay a flat $2.95 whatever the item sold for. At $15 and above you pay 20% of the sale. That makes the band either side of $15 behave strangely: a $14.99 sale leaves you $12.04, while a $15.00 sale leaves you $12.00. Listing at $15.00 exactly costs you money, and listing at $14 costs you 19.7% rather than 20%. This calculator picks the right branch and then takes off what the item cost you.

How it's calculated
Fee = $2.95 if price is under $15, otherwise price × 20%. Net profit = price − fee − item cost − shipping you cover

Worked examples
A $48 dress bought for $14 at a thrift store
$24.40 net profit
At $48 the 20% commission applies, so Poshmark takes $9.60 and pays you $38.40. The buyer paid for the shipping label, so nothing comes off for postage. After the $14 you spent on the dress you clear $24.40, a 174.3% return on what you put in.

A $15.00 listing, right on the threshold
$8.00 net profit
At exactly $15.00 the 20% rate kicks in: Poshmark takes $3.00 and you keep $12.00. Price the same item at $14.99 and the flat $2.95 applies instead, leaving $12.04. The extra penny on the listing costs you four cents in payout, so nothing should ever be listed at $15.00 flat.

Questions sellers ask
How much does Poshmark take from a $100 sale?
$20, leaving you $80. Anything at $15 or above is charged the flat 20% commission with no per-order fee on top and no processing fee, so the maths is simply one fifth of the sale price. Shipping is paid by the buyer through a Poshmark label, so it does not change the commission.
Does Poshmark still take 20%?
Yes, on every sale of $15 or more. Sales under $15 are charged a flat $2.95 instead, which works out cheaper than 20% on anything above $14.75 and more expensive below it. There are no listing fees, no monthly fees and no separate payment processing charge.
What are the fees for selling on Poshmark in 2026?
Two numbers and one threshold: $2.95 flat below $15, and 20% of the sale at $15 and above. That is the whole commission structure for a standard sale. Poshmark Wholesale and some promoted placements have their own terms, and offering a shipping discount to close a sale comes out of your side rather than reducing the fee.
How much does Poshmark charge for selling items?
Nothing to list, and nothing until an item sells. The charge lands at the point of sale: $2.95 under $15, or 20% at $15 and above. Because the flat fee is a bigger proportion of a very cheap item, a $5 sale loses 59% to fees, which is why bundling low-value pieces into one listing usually pays better than selling them one at a time.
