This policy explains what happens to information when you use SharpTally. The short version: the calculators send nothing anywhere, our analytics sets no cookies, and the only cookies on the site come from advertising.
What the calculators do with your numbers
Nothing leaves your device. Every calculation runs in your browser. The figures you type are never transmitted to us, never stored, and never logged. We could not tell you what anyone has entered into any calculator on this site, because we do not receive it.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which calculators people use. It sets no cookies, uses no localStorage, and does not fingerprint your device or build a profile that follows you between sites or visits. It collects aggregate page and referrer data only. Advertising and cookies
This site carries advertising supplied by Google AdSense. This is the part of the site that uses cookies, so it is worth being specific:
- Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and to measure whether those ads were seen or clicked.
- Google may use the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is what "personalised advertising" means.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of participating vendors at aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the UK, EU and Switzerland are shown a consent prompt before personalised advertising cookies are set, as required by the EU user consent policy. Declining does not restrict your use of any calculator.
- Third-party vendors set these cookies directly. We do not control them and cannot read them.
If advertising is blocked in your browser, every calculator still works. Ad space is reserved in the layout so blocking it does not break the page.
Affiliate links
Some pages link to seller software. Where we earn a commission, the link is marked as an affiliate link on the page itself and carries a sponsored attribute. Following one may let that merchant set their own cookie to attribute the referral. We are never told who clicked. Commission never changes a calculator's output or the order tools are listed in.
What we store about you
No accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter, no contact forms. If you email us, we keep that email so we can reply to it. We do not add you to any list.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete. For data held by Google as an advertising provider, use Google's own controls linked above. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Children
This site is aimed at people running a business and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the foot of this page changes with it. Questions go to [email protected].
