FBA Revenue Calculator
CheckedThe FBA revenue calculator shows what Amazon actually pays you per unit and per month, after fees and after the cost of returns. Free, no sign-up, and the result updates as you type.

Net proceeds — what Amazon deposits after the referral and fulfilment fees — is where every FBA revenue estimate starts, and usually where it stops. That is why returns wreck forecasts. Amazon refunds the referral fee when an order comes back, but keeps the outbound fulfilment fee, and a returned unit is frequently unsellable at full price. A 5% return rate quietly costs about 5% of gross profit; a 25% apparel rate costs a third of it. This calculator spreads that loss across every unit sold so the monthly number is one you can plan against.
How it's calculated
Net profit = price × (1 − referral rate ÷ 100) − fulfilment fee − unit cost − (return rate ÷ 100 × (fulfilment fee + unit cost))

Worked examples
A $34.95 homewares unit at a 5% return rate, 400 a month
$11.85 net profit per unit
Amazon pays out $24.95 after a $5.24 referral fee and $4.76 fulfilment. Take off $12.25 of landed cost and $0.85 for returns and $11.85 is left, a 33.9% margin. At 400 units that is $13,980 of revenue and $4,738.80 of profit.

The same price in apparel: 17% referral, 25% returns
$7.01 net profit per unit
Returns cost $4.40 a unit here against $0.85 before — more than the entire referral fee difference. Apparel also has its own fulfilment table, $5.35 for this unit with the surcharge. Profit falls to $7.01 on a 20.1% margin, and the month drops from $4,738.80 to $2,803.40 on identical revenue of $13,980. Return rate, not price, is what makes apparel hard.

Questions sellers ask
Are there free FBA revenue calculators?
Amazon's Revenue Calculator is free inside Seller Central, and this one is free here. Amazon's gives you net proceeds after referral and fulfilment fees, which is genuinely the right starting point. What it does not model is returns, and on a product with a 20%-plus return rate that omission is worth more than every other line combined.
How do I calculate Amazon FBA fees?
Referral fee is the category percentage of the sale price, 15% in most categories with a $0.30 per-item minimum. Fulfilment is a flat charge read off Amazon's size and weight table; since January 2026 it also steps up with the selling price, and a 3.5% surcharge is added on top. Storage is cubic feet times the monthly rate for as long as you hold the unit. Subtract the first two from the price and you have net proceeds.
Which FBA calculator is best?
The one that includes the cost you are most likely to underestimate. For most sellers that is either PPC or returns. Amazon's own tool covers fees accurately and nothing else; third-party tools bundle in sourcing estimates you should replace with your real supplier quote anyway. Use whichever lets you type in your own return rate and ad spend.
Can I make $1000 a month selling on Amazon?
At the $11.85 per unit above, $1,000 a month is 85 units — just under three a day from one product. In the apparel example it takes 143 units for the same $1,000, on the same revenue per sale. The number of products matters far less than the return rate and margin of the ones you pick.
How many Amazon sellers make over $100k?
There is no reliable public count. The figures quoted online come from seller surveys, and they measure annual sales rather than profit. $100,000 of sales at the 33.9% margin above is about $33,900 of profit; at the apparel example's 20.1% it is $20,100. Sales figures quoted by sellers are almost always revenue, so halve them before drawing conclusions.
