FBA Calculator
CheckedThis FBA calculator works out your profit per unit after Amazon's referral, fulfilment and storage fees, plus the freight and PPC costs Amazon's own tool leaves out. Free, no sign-up, and the result updates as you type.
Enter your numbers
Amazon's own calculator stops after the referral and fulfilment fees, which is why so many products look viable in it and lose money in the account. Three costs are missing from that view and all three are real: the freight to get units into the warehouse, the storage billed every month they sit there, and the PPC spend that produced the sale. This calculator counts all of them per unit, then gives the break-even price — the point below which every extra sale costs you money.
How it's calculated
Net profit = price × (1 − referral rate ÷ 100) − fulfilment fee − storage − product cost − inbound shipping − ad spend

$4.58 net profit per unit
Dropping the price by $5 costs $4.25 of profit per unit, because the referral fee falls by only $0.75. Margin goes from 29.4% to 18.3% and the month from $2,649.45 to $1,374.45 — a 48% cut in profit for a 17% cut in price. You would need to sell 579 units to stand still.

Questions sellers ask
Is there a free FBA calculator?
This one, and Amazon's own Revenue Calculator inside Seller Central. The difference is scope: Amazon's shows referral and fulfilment fees against a cost you type in, and stops there. Inbound freight, monthly storage and PPC are the three lines that decide whether a product is actually profitable, and they are inputs here.
Is FBA still profitable in 2026?
At the referral and fulfilment rates checked on 2026-09-27, a $30 product sourced at $8 clears a 29% margin before any of it goes wrong. Two things have changed. Amazon added a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge to every fulfilment fee from 17 April 2026, and ad spend is now a structural cost rather than a launch cost — the $2.50 per unit above is more than a fifth of the profit before ads. Products priced under about $15 are where FBA stops working, because the fulfilment fee barely moves with price.
Can you provide a calculator for calculating profit margin?
Margin is shown above as net profit divided by selling price: $8.83 on $29.99 is 29.4%. Return on cost sits next to it and answers a different question — how hard your cash is working — at 76.1% for the same unit. Use margin to compare products and ROI to decide where to put the next purchase order.
How many Amazon sellers make over $100k?
There is no reliable public count. The figures quoted online come from seller surveys, and they measure annual sales, not profit. At the 29.4% margin above, $100,000 in sales is about $29,400 of profit before your own time, tax and returns. The useful version of the question is units: $100,000 at $29.99 is 3,334 units, or nine a day.
Can I make $1000 a month selling on Amazon?
At the $8.83 per unit in the first example, $1,000 a month is 114 units — just under four a day. That is a realistic target for one well-chosen product. At the $4.58 of the discounted example it is 219 units, which is the point: the price you hold matters more than the volume you chase.
